In a world were time is precious Gamblingdictionary.com has been designed to make finding that specific term as easy as possible. From searching for a specific gambling term to browsing a game category, Gamblingdictionary.com will be your first and last stop.

When asked what the motivation behind the website was, Charles (gamblingdictionary.com's webmaster)responded by saying that "The world of gambling has a vocabulary that is very unique and it's not easy to pick up without some help. Now I had a friend in Vegas that helped me out on my first visit. If it wasn't for Thomas I would have never been able to follow the action at the Craps table." With the proliferation of online gambling and weekend poker games there is a whole new segment of gamblers that "don't have the luxury of their own 'Thomas'."

Unlike other sites that offer a few terms or game specific terms, Gamblingdictionary.com has endeavored to provided the most comprehensive collection of terms regardless of their game. The collection is so complete that it even includes a section devoted to "cheating" terms. This also happens to be Charles's favorite section. According to Charles the "terms are just fun to read." Charles also likes to point out that there are some 'easter eggs' hidden in the terms, "My team thought it would be fun to sneak in a few silly descriptions into the terms. I haven't found them all yet myself but I have had a few chuckles while looking for them."

Gamblingdictionary.com is sure to become an invaluable tool to new and experienced gamblers a like.

Can't make it to this year's World Series of Poker? Have no fear. The Gambliing911.com crew arrives in full force Thursday July 27 to join our many sponsors who will be in attendance... not to mention Baywatch "Super Babe" Pamela Anderson.
In addition to covering the world's biggest poker tournament from start to finish, Gambling911.com will and its reporters Jenny Woo, Destiney Lewis and Payton O'Brien will be flying in to attend open the WSOP while conducting interviews with various online poker industry leaders in addition to players. "This is going to be a busy week for us as the Gambling911.com crew makes its presence felt at the opening of this year's WSOP," commented Gambling911.com President Christopher Costigan. "In addition to covering the world's biggest poker tournament from start to finish, Gambling911.com will and its reporters Jenny Woo, Destiney Lewis and Payton O'Brien will be flying in to attend open the WSOP while conducting interviews with various online poker industry leaders in addition to players."
Jenny Woo is fast becoming one of the poker circuit's most beloved divas. She will be featured in an upcoming FHM Magazine All Women's Poker Tournament in Norway during the month of August.
This promises to be one of the most spectacular and extensive features ever appearing on the Gambling911.com website, including dozens of behind-the-scenes stories. The original World Series of Poker was started by Tom Morehead of the Riverside casino in Reno and was an invitational event. The set of tournaments the World Series of Poker (WSOP) would evolve to was the brainchild of Las Vegas legend, casino owner, and poker player Benny Binion as well as his two sons Jack and Ted.
The Binion family not only nurtured the WSOP, but poker in general. Prior to the 1970s, poker was not found at many casinos because of the difficulty of keeping cheaters out. Through better security techniques as well as the Binion's tireless promotion through events like the WSOP, poker became a very popular game.
In 1970 the first WSOP at Binion's Horseshoe took place with seven players. The winner, Johnny Moss was elected by his peers as the first World Champion of Poker and received a silver cup as a prize.
In 2004, Harrah's Entertainment purchased Binion's Horseshoe, renaming it just "Binion's" and announced that the 2005 Series events would be held at the Harrah's-owned Rio Hotel and Casino, located just off the Las Vegas Strip, with the final two days of the main event held downtown at Binion's in celebration of the centennial of the founding of Las Vegas. It also added a made-for-television $2 million "freeroll" invitational "Tournament of Champions" (TOC) event won by Annie Duke as a "winner-take-all" event.
The 2005 World Series of Poker opened play on June 2, continuing through the Main Event No Limit World Championship starting on July 7. The conclusion of the Main Event on July 15 marked the close of play, and the largest prize in sports and/or television history ($7,500,000) was awarded to the winner.
The event goes from July 28 to August 10.
"We are excited to be a part of this major event," Costigan said.
